Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. in Texas is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to perform inspections, testing, repairs and planned maintenance of advanced commercial & chiller systems. This full-time role includes a company vehicle, cell phone, and a strong benefits package.

You will work on-site in Midland, reading complex schematics, troubleshooting and performing service contracts, with on-call duties and a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in HVAC commercial systems.
• Advanced knowledge of service processes, codes and schematics.
• Ability to read complex schematics and prints.
• Self-managed with professional demeanor and strong communication capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and optimize performance of HVAC systems (split, RTU, chillers, and related equipment).
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for troubleshooting and maintenance per service agreements.
• Fulfill service contracts and quoted projects profitably.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and explain work clearly.
• Participate in technician on-call standby rotation.
• Safely operate company vehicle and trailer.
• Purchase materials and issue PO numbers to suppliers.
• Maintain tools and inventory on the service vehicle.

Job Summary

Essential Duties

• Diagnose and optimize performance of various HVAC systems including split systems, mini split systems, RTUs, WSHPs, CRAC units, chillers, and airside equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment proficiently.
• Performs disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial or residential HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance as indicated in the service agreement.
• Successfully fulfills service contracts, quoted projects, and service calls, ensuring profitability is maintained.
• Develops long-term relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction.
• Participates in technician on-call standby rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.
• Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer, as evidenced by past driving performance record.
• Meets requirements of company vehicle driving policy, and adheres to all company safety requirements.
• Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers.
• Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 7+ years of experience HVAC Commercial.

Full teardown is required. Advanced knowledge of service processes, techniques and codes is required. Proficient in reading complex schematics and prints Able to perform as a self-managed individual Must be able to display a professional demeanor, solid interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication capabilities.
