Job summary

White Cap is seeking a maintenance technician to oversee preventive maintenance and repairs of construction equipment in a dynamic environment. The role involves on-site work with a focus on reliability and quality repair outcomes.

You will inspect equipment, install kits, service trade-ins, and diagnose electrical and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and laptops. A HS diploma and 2–5 years' experience are preferred, with technical training a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required or strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in equipment maintenance or related field.
• Technical training or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and performs customer and warranty repairs, documenting parts, materials, or procedures.
• Conducts preventive maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Inspects new construction equipment from manufacturers.
• Installs Salesman kits on new and used equipment.
• Inspects trade-in units to prep for sale.
• Diagnoses and repairs electrical, hydraulic systems, diesel and gasoline engines.
• Determines and selects critical parts for estimates and repairs.
• Uses diagnostic tools and laptops to diagnose repairs.
