TDIndustries, Inc. is seeking an HVAC technician to perform inspections, testing, repairs, and planned maintenance of commercial systems in Texas. You will work with split systems, heat pumps, RTUs, and water-source units, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

The role includes on-call rotations, maintaining vehicle stock, purchasing materials, and upholding safety standards while building enduring client partnerships with clear communication of work performed.

Qualifications

• HVAC unitary skills across split systems up to 5 tons, mini-splits up to 3 tons, RTUs and water-source units up to 5 tons.
• Ability to read basic schematics and work with low-voltage circuits (AC/DC).
• Experience with brand controls and app-based technology for service work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses HVAC performance through observation, testing and setup of equipment.
• Disassembles/reassembles equipment for troubleshooting and planned maintenance.
• Fulfills service contracts and communicates work clearly to customers.
• Participates in on-call rotations and coordinates with suppliers.
• Maintains tools and inventory on the service vehicle.
• Safely operates vehicles and adheres to safety policies.

Job Summary

Performs inspections, testing, repairs, and planned maintenance of HVAC Commercial Systems.

Essential Duties

• Diagnoses HVAC system performance through observation, testing and setup as of equipment: split systems, heat pump, RTU and WSHP.
• Performs disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance as indicated in the service agreement.
• Successfully fulfills service contracts, quoted projects, and service calls in alignment with directives. Initiates the establishment of enduring client partnerships, ensuring clear communication of work executed to achieve customer contentment.
• Engages in on-call/stand‑by rotations as per business unit protocols and procedures, demonstrating readiness for responsive technical support.
• Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers.
• Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.
• Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all company safety requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Ideally 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Required -- HVAC Unitary skills: split system - all brands up to 5 tons, mini-split system – up to 3 ton heat pump, roof top units – all brands up to 5 tons, water source heat pumps – all brands up to 5 tons, water source heat pumps – all brands up to 5 tons.
Knowledge of brand specific controls.
Fundamentals of A/C electrical circuits and low voltage D/C electrical circuits and operation.
Hands on experience with one or more controls platforms.
Ability to read basic schematics.
Must be able to use app-based technology.
Professional demeanor, solid interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication capability.
Demonstrates strong business ethics at all times.
