Job summary

Securitas Technology Corporation is seeking a full-time field technician in Miami, FL to manage post-installation support, system upgrades, and on-site installations. The role requires an active EL06 license or proximity to obtaining one, and strong knowledge of access control, CCTV, and fire alarm systems.

The ideal candidate will perform trouble-ticket responses, maintenance tasks, and detailed documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active EL06 license or close to obtaining it is required.
• Familiarity with installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment is essential.
• Strong knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary alarm, intrusion and fire alarm systems is required.
• Certifications in enterprise grade CCTV and access control systems are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to trouble tickets to ensure application uptime and system performance.
• Diagnose and resolve application issues independently or in a team.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize availability and identify faults.
• Document all system modifications in change control system.
• Create technical documentation for deployment details for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Perform pre-deployment end-to-end testing of upgrades and modifications.
• Install software upgrades and major modifications on-site.

Salary Range: $30.00 To $36.00 Hourly

Our service teams are responsible for providing service on Securitas Technology products at client sites. The position provides client contact for all post-installation problems on systems and equipment, as well as, special project work, when needed.

This role req uires a n active EL06 license or must be very close to getting their EL06 License.

JobDuties

• Respond to trouble tickets to ensure application uptime and system performance.
• Work individually and as a team to diagnose and resolve application issues.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks to maximize application availability and identify system faults.
• Document all system modifications through a digital change control tracking system.
• Produce quality technical documentation describing the conceptual and quantitative facets of system deployment, intended for both a technical and non-technical audience.
• Perform pre-deployment end to end testing of all upgrades and major modifications.
• Perform on site installations of software upgrades and major modifications.
• High School diploma required or equivalent.
• Familiarity installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary alarm, intrusion systems, and fire alarms
• Bosch, Silent Knighthighly preferred.
• Simplex, Notifier, Edwards, Siemens, or other commercial fire systems is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Certifications in enterprise grade CCTV and Access Control systems a plus
