Job summary

Andersen Corporation in the South Chicago area is seeking a Field Service Technician II to perform repairs and maintenance on Renewal by Andersen products. The role focuses on delivering superior customer service and ensuring installations meet company standards.

You will analyze customer situations, determine corrective actions, mentor other technicians, and maintain an organized service area while coordinating with Service RSRs. A high school diploma and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Experience servicing and repairing windows and doors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience training others is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair previously installed Renewal by Andersen products.

• Inform team members of actions taken to resolve issues.
• Coach, train and mentor Service Techs.
• Maintain organized service area and stock levels; request replenishment as needed.
• Provide Signature Service to homeowners and peers.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of RbA window/door installation and fix installation errors.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Renewal by Andersen has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Technician II to join our team in our South Chicago location. The Field Service Technician will provide superior customer service by performing repairs and maintenance services on Renewal by Andersen products.

Responsibilities:

• Service and repair previously installed Renewal by Andersen products.
• Analyzes customers situations, determines corrective action to be taken and verify the action has fixed the situation in a cost efficient and effective manner.
• Keep team member informed as needed of customer interactions and actions taken to resolve service issues.
• Coach, train and mentor Service Techs.
• Keep service area neat and organized; inventory service stock area of warehouse; request material replenishment as needed; provide detailed information to Service RSRs.
• Provide Signature Service to homeowners and peers.
• Advanced knowledge of RbA window and door installation techniques and ability to correct installation errors.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school degree and valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to service and repair previously installed windows & doors. Ability to dismantle and reassemble windows, door components, window coverings, and hardware.
• Demonstrated analytical problem solving and decision-making skills; follow systematic approach in situational analysis and definition; arrive at acceptable solutions
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills; strong listening and empathy skills; organization skills for managing work schedules, job priorities and stock levels.
• Ability to train others on technical application and product requirements
• 2 or more years of window installation experience preferred.

PAY RANGE:

$22.67 - $35.13

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
