Qualifications

• Ability to read service tickets, inspection reports, and system drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service, and repair fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards.
• Diagnose system issues and perform corrective repairs.
• Replace sprinkler heads, valves, gauges, fittings, and related components.
• Perform annual, quarterly, and periodic inspections and testing.
• Document inspections, deficiencies, and repairs accurately.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers in a professional manner.
• Coordinate service calls and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes and company policies.
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and equipment; follow safety procedures.

Polk Mechanical is seeking a Service Technician - Fire Protection responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair offire sprinkler systems in existing commercial and industrial facilities. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, professional customer interaction, and knowledge of applicable fire codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service, and repair fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFP A standards Diagnose system issues and perform corrective repairs
• Replace sprinkler heads, valves, gauges, fittings, and related components
• Perform annual, quarterly, and periodic inspections and testing
• Document inspections, deficiencies, and repairs accurately
• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers in a professional manner
• Coordinate service calls and follow up on corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with NFP A, AHJ requirements, and company policies
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and equipment
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times

Qualifications
