Bring your skills to the 2020 Kenworth Dealer of the Year! Kenworth Sales Co., a 37-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group, is looking for a Service Technician (2nd Shift) to join our team in Richmond, VA.

Job Summary:

The primary function of the Service Technician is to perform quality repairs on customer equipment and recommend additional services as needed.

Responsibilities:

1. Receive repair orders from Shop Foreman.
2. Perform repairs in a timely and thorough manner, maintaining high workmanship standards.
3. Advise Shop Foreman of any recommended changes in services.
4. Determine if further repairs are needed and communicate with the customer.
5. Maintain training on specialized equipment and techniques.
6. Attend training sessions as required.
7. Perform repairs if returned due to faulty workmanship.
8. Keep accurate records of work performed.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in medium/heavy truck repair.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• VA State Inspector's certification or willingness to obtain.
• Valid Class A or B CDL or willingness to obtain.
• Certifications from Paccar, Cummins, and CAT or willingness to obtain.
• Motivated, self-reliant, and team-oriented.
• Ability to operate tools safely.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English instructions.
