DCH Toyota of Torrance is seeking a Service Technician to perform automotive repairs and service in line with store and factory standards. You will diagnose malfunctions, road-test vehicles, and document work performed to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position Overview

The Service Technician is responsible for performing automotive repairs and service in accordance with store and factory standards. The technician diagnoses and resolves a variety of automotive problems, works with all service personnel and management to ensure customer satisfaction, and maintains a clean, organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions.
• Complete all work in compliance with applicable safety requirements.
• Road‑test vehicles to confirm quality of repair work.
• Accurately record time spent on repairs using company time‑clocking procedures.
• Document work performed and test procedures/results on the repair order.
• Maintain an inventory of normal mechanic tools and return special tools to proper locations.
• Use shop supplies and materials economically.
• Keep the work area organized and complete daily stall cleaning.
• Ensure customers’ vehicles are returned clean and ready.
• Complete all required training and certifications, including manufacturer and ASE certifications.
• Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management.
• Review technical bulletins and other publications as directed by management.
