Job summary

Espresso Solutions in West Mifflin, PA is seeking a Service Technician to keep commercial coffee equipment running smoothly. You’ll install, diagnose, repair, and calibrate espresso machines, grinders, and water systems while training cafe staff on care and prevention.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and a customer-first attitude. Company provides a service vehicle, tools, and ongoing manufacturer training.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience servicing commercial coffee, espresso, or general foodservice equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts manuals.
• Comfort using a multimeter and standard hand/power tools.
• Excellent communication and a customer-first attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in tight spaces.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Installation & Setup: Install and commission commercial espresso machines, grinders, cold brew systems, and water filtration setups on-site.
• Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic/plumbing issues using tools like multimeters, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance, including descaling, part replacements, and system calibrations.
• Quality Assurance: Test and taste coffee or check extraction parameters to ensure machines are calibrated to perfection.
• Customer Training: Educate café and restaurant staff on daily machine care, cleaning routines, and basic troubleshooting.
• Documentation & Inventory: Keep accurate service logs, submit work orders in dispatch software (e.g., ServiceTitan), and manage van/shop parts inventory.

• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, independent problem-solving, and a customer-first attitude in high-pressure environments.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work comfortably in tight counter spaces.
• Licensing: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
