Job summary

Kuppa Joy is seeking a Coffee Machine Technician in California to maintain and repair espresso machines, grinders, and related coffee equipment across our cafés and facilities.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of mechanical repair experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers. The role offers part-time or full-time hours with pay between $25-$30 per hour and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in equipment repair or maintenance (coffee equipment, HVAC, appliance repair, electrical, plumbing, or similar mechanical field).
• Familiarity with commercial coffee equipment brands (La Marzocco, Mazzer, Curtis, Bunn) preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee equipment.
• Install new equipment and ensure proper setup and calibration.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to scheduled service intervals.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
• Communicate effectively with café and production teams to resolve equipment issues quickly.
• Train team members on proper equipment care and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain inventory of tools, replacement parts, and service supplies.
• Travel to local Kuppa Joy cafés and facilities as needed.

What You’ll Do

As our Coffee Machine Technician, you’ll play an essential role in maintaining the equipment that keeps our cafés and production facilities running smoothly. Your work will directly impact the quality and consistency of every cup we serve.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose, service, and repair espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee equipment
• Install new equipment and ensure proper setup and calibration

What Will Help You Succeed

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 80 pounds
• Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces
• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  

Schedule & Compensation

• Part Time / Full Time
• Weekend availability may be required depending on café hours and service needs
• Pay: $25-30 per hour, depending on experience
• Company tools and equipment provided
• Mileage reimbursement for approved service calls
