Job Title

Service Technician

Position Information

A Service Technician has a pool/spa route during the week to perform service for residential and/or commercial pools/spas. They lead crews for openings, closings, and renovations, and complete service calls for repairs. The Technician supervises a Helper, if present.

Position Responsibilities

• Complete Hazard Communication program.
• Lead openings and closings, pool repairs, and renovations.
• Perform water testing and chemical adjustments.
• Clean pools/spas, including vacuuming, skimming, brushing, and scrubbing tiles/water lines.
• Maintain and repair equipment.
• Restock vehicles at end of workday.
• Assist in training Maintenance Technicians and Helpers.
• Stay updated with industry trends.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and assist with shop maintenance.
• Gather information and photos from job sites as needed.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent recommended.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• SP-2 or SP-1 License required (can assist in obtaining).
• 3-5 years of industry experience recommended.
• Knowledge of pool/spa systems preferred.

Special Skills

Ability to read and understand instructions, communicate effectively, recognize safety violations, and lead a crew.

Physical Demands

Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, and handling tools. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, sometimes heavier with assistance.

Work Environment

Travel time in vehicle can be 10-30%. Remaining time outdoors around water, in various weather conditions. Some dust and dirt in equipment rooms and around pools/spas.
