Job summary

Hoffman Building Technologies is seeking a Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building automation systems. You will analyze HVAC control performance and document findings, plus startup/programming of DDC controls as required.

In this role you will serve as a liaison to customers, assist with field commissioning, and support service projects. Some on-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• AA degree in applied technology preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• HVAC and/or Mechanical systemsexperience.
• Troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and system analysis (backups, controls analysis, network optimization, testing).
• Execute service quoted projects.
• Troubleshoot DDC controls and mechanical systems as needed.
• Replace failed components as necessary.
• Provide consistent communications with supervisor, service coordinator, account managers, and customer.
• On-call as scheduled.

JOB TITLE: Service Technician COMPANY: Hoffman Building Technologies STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime) DEPARTMENT: Service REPORTS TO: Service Manager or Operations Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY: The Service Technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building automation systems and their components. The Service Technician will provide analysis of building control and HVAC system performance in buildings, provide accurate and complete documentation in a timely manner and perform DDC controls startup/programming as required . Act as liaison to customer, and electrical installer.

SERVICE TECHNICIAN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preventative Maintenance Tasking (Database Back-ups, Control System Analysis, Network Analysis and Optimization, Central Equipment Controls Performance Testing, Customer Training)
• Execute Service QuotedProjects
• Troubleshoot DDC Control and Mechanical Systems whennecessary
• Replace Failed Components as necessary
• Provide Consistent Communications (Supervisor, Service Coordinator, Account Managers, and Customer)
• On call as scheduled

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of HVAC DDC Control Theory & Applications
• Proficient with Alerton, Distech, or Tridium Programming
• Experience with electronics and basic electricalcircuits
• Computer hardware and softwareskills
• Ability to work independently andunsupervised
• Strong communications and interactive skills

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

• AA degree in applied technology (preferred)
• Equivalent combination of education andexperience
• HVAC and/or Mechanical systemsexperience
• Troubleshooting experience
