Job summary

Hoffman Building Technologies in Atlanta is seeking a Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair building automation systems. You will analyze control performance, document findings, and assist with startup/programming of DDC controls as required.

Role requires strong electrical and electronics knowledge, independent work capability, and effective communication with customers and internal teams. On-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• HVAC DDC control theory and applications knowledge.
• Proficient with Alerton, Distech, or Tridium programming.
• Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Computer hardware and software skills.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Strong communications and interactive skills.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance tasking (database backups, control system analysis, network analysis and optimization, central equipment controls performance testing, customer training).
• Execute service quoted projects.
• Troubleshoot DDC control and mechanical systems when necessary.
• Replace failed components as necessary.
• Provide consistent communications with supervisor, service coordinator, account managers, and customer.
• On call as scheduled.

REPORTS TO: Service Manager or Operations Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:The Service Technicianwill perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building automation systems and their components. The Service Technician Will provide analysis of building control and HVAC system performance in buildings, provide accurate and complete documentation in a timely manner and perform DDC controls startup/programming as required. Act as liaison to customer, and electrical installer.
