Job summary

LaundryLux Distribution is seeking a Service Technician to install, service and repair commercial laundry equipment in customer facilities in Florida. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and customer-focused support.

Travel to various customer locations is required. The ideal candidate has strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining inventory and paperwork accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three years in residential/commercial laundry industry is a plus.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical understanding required.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools and able to interpret manuals/drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service and repair commercial laundry equipment in accordance with standards and procedures.
  • Maintain safety and professionalism at all times.
  • Promote service and maintenance plans and relay leads to sales team.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Complete all paperwork (work orders, time logs, schedules).
  • Operate company vehicle safely and manage inventory of parts.

What you will do
  • Services, installs, and repairs equipment in businesses in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Maintains safety and professionalism at all times.
  • Promotes service, preventative maintenance plans and communicate leads to sales team.
  • Performs routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
  • Provides a thorough explanation of equipment, its capabilities and operation to the customer; responds to all questions in a courteous and knowledgeable manner.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in equipment.
  • Accurately completes all necessary paperwork including but not limited to work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
  • Replace or repair defective parts such as belts, valves, motors, and computer boards.
  • Maintains inventory control of assigned equipment to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Participates in inventory process on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Maintains control of all assigned company property and ensures that equipment is always maintained in safe operating condition.
  • Safely operates assigned company vehicle and ensures that it is maintained according to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Exhibits appearance and conduct in accordance with established company standards to present a professional image to customers and the public.
  • Maintain the highest degree of decency, honesty, and integrity as a guest in a customer’s business.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the residential/ commercial Laundry Industry a plus.
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to complete various activities that may require moving items that weigh 75 lbs.
  • Ability to operate equipment, i.e., forklift, pallet jack, lift gate.
Travel Required
  • Frequent travel to customer locations.
  • Overnight travel on occasions.
