Job summary

Responsibilities

• Test malfunctioning systems with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Complete service calls efficiently while exceeding customer expectations.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and participate in emergency on-call rotation.

This role focuses on rack systems, display cases, walk‑in coolers/freezers, and related mechanical and electrical components to ensure equipment reliability, food safety, and customer satisfaction.

Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul supermarket refrigeration systems, including rack systems, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and controls

• Service and maintain display cases, walk‑in coolers/freezers, ice machines, and refrigeration equipment

• Perform preventive maintenance to identify mechanical or operational deficiencies before system failure

• Test malfunctioning systems using electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Complete service calls efficiently while exceeding customer expectations

• Perform general HVAC and refrigeration repairs including air conditioning units, gas furnaces, motors, and pumps as needed

• Accurately complete work orders, service tickets, and maintenance documentation

• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle

• Participate in an emergency on‑call rotation

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of rack systems, single systems, display cases, and walk‑in boxes

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods

• Willingness to participate in emergency on‑call coverage
