Job summary

A leading services company located in Vero Beach, Florida is seeking an experienced HVAC/R LICENSED TECHNICIAN to maintain refrigeration and HVAC systems at various retail locations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in repairing commercial refrigeration equipment, along with an EPA Type I & II or Universal license. Responsibilities include monitoring refrigerant usage, participating in after-hours emergency calls, and ensuring quality performance and communication with site management.

Job Description

Job Title: HVAC/R LICENSED TECHNICIAN

What you will do in this role:

• Maintain refrigeration and HVAC for a group of retail locations.
• Repair equipment, such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical andmechanical control devices in a safe, efficient, and timely manner that exceeds
  customers expectations.
• Establish effective regular communication with Site Management to ensure they arekept informed of all ongoing maintenance activities.
• Liaise with Site Management team to ensure that all planned maintenance activitiesare communicated effectively including diagnosing equipment malfunctions and any
  operating deficiency of the mechanical equipment to ensure quality workperformance.
• Provide all required job updates on a timely basis.
• Be proactive in refrigerant leak checking and repairs.
• Maintain all assets for which you have responsibility to the highest standards.
• Perform refrigeration/HVAC preventive maintenance checks in a timely manner asassigned.
• Monitor and log refrigerant usage within assigned stores.
• Maintain clean and safe conditions in machine and electrical rooms.
• Communicate as needed with retail store location personnel to maintain refrigeratedproduct integrity.
• Participate in companys on call after hours emergency call program.
• Assist with trouble shooting problems.
• Complete equipment inventories as assigned.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Act in accordance with all company policies & procedures.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Certifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience repairing commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Prior experience working in the supermarket industry is preferred.
• EPA Type I & II or EPA Universal license required.
• Heavily experienced HVAC/R technicians that know how to service & repair walk-in/reach-in coolers, walk-in/reach-in freezers and parallel rack systems.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Schedule: Typical work days are 8:00am-5:00pm, overtime on occasions in addition to allcall every 3 to 4 weeks.
