Universal Fire Protection is looking to hire a motivated Kitchen Suppression and Extinguisher Technician for our rapidly growing Fire Protection division. Duties include: inspection, installation, and repair of pre-engineered kitchen fire suppression systems (hoods) from various manufacturers, and service and inspection of fire extinguishers. This involves leveraging industry-leading expertise for system testing and inspections, identifying NFPA code and non-conformance issues, and performing on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs. Maintain inspection and repair documentation for all work performed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fire protection experience a plus
• Mechanical skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s license required
• Knowledge of NFPA10
