Job summary

Cook & Boardman, LLC is seeking a Service Technician to repair and maintain manual and automatic doors. The role requires working on-site with a team to meet customer needs, including evenings or weekends for on-call service.

You will install, service, and maintain door systems, observe safety rules, and participate in a monthly on-call rotation with on-call pay. Strong reading of measurement tools and teamwork are essential.

The Service Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of manual and automatic doors with or without direct onsite supervision.

Essential Functions

• Install and service manual and automatic doors
• Maintain company-owned equipment
• Work in a team environment with other service team members
• Observe all safety rules and best practices
• Participate in on call rotation schedule for emergency service calls – involves 1 week per month with on call pay
• Other relative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Low voltage electrical experience
• Current and valid US driver’s license preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in similar position
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test

Physical Demands

Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching. Spends approximately 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing. Work Environment

Conditions will include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Subject to frequent heavy lifting. May require driving to project sites. May be exposed to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
