  • Maintain a clean, safe work cell.
  • Follow service, repair, quality, and documentation procedures.

Job description

Russell Tobin is partnering with a top healthcare and medical device organization to identify a Service Technician for an opportunity in Oakdale, MN.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, clean, diagnose, and repair customer electronic and/or mechanical devices.
  • Operate common tools, diagnostic equipment, and test equipment required for device repair.
  • Generate and process service repair documentation to maintain repair traceability and support customer invoicing.
  • Prepare repair estimates, including service parts and labor costs.
  • Maintain accurate local service parts inventories in coordination with the HCSC Materials Control team.
  • Use a PC running Microsoft Windows for daily service and documentation activities.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for basic documentation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with customer service, depot repair technicians, management, and other functional groups.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work cell.
  • Follow established service, repair, quality, and documentation procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic and/or mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to operate common repair tools and test equipment.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate repair records.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training or education from a two-year technical school.
  • Previous work experience in a technical, electronics, mechanical, biomedical, or related industry.
  • Experience repairing healthcare or medical equipment is a plus.
  • Experience with service documentation, repair estimates, inventory management, or depot repair operations is preferred.
Additional Details
  • Location: Oakdale, MN
  • Duration: 12+ Month’s contract with potential to extend
  • Pay rate: $20–$22/Hr. depending on experience
