Kastle Systems is seeking an Installation & Service Technician in New York to install, test and service CCTV, access control and video systems at customer sites. You will interact with clients and contractors to ensure installations meet Kastle standards.

The role requires 2+ years of experience in commercial access control, video systems, and low voltage wiring; familiarity with building codes; HS diploma or GED; electronics knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years installing commercial access control and video systems
• Experience with low voltage wiring and cabling
• Knowledge of building/electrical codes preferred
• High School degree or GED required or equivalent
• Electronics/electrical certs desirable

Responsabilités

• Install, test, and troubleshoot CCTV, access control, and security systems on site
• Pull cable, rough-in/patch-in, bend conduit, terminate wiring
• Identify schedule or progress issues and report to supervisor
• Stay informed about Kastle services, technology and processes

The Installation & Service Technician is responsible to install and assist in all phases of installing, testing and servicing/troubleshooting security, access control and video systems at customer sites. To that end, the Installation/Service Technician may interact directly with the client, client representatives, other contractors and Kastle personnel to ensure a successful installation project/service call. The Installation/Service Technician ensures that Kastle system installation/service orders are implemented accurately and on time, and that these services meet or exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests, and troubleshoots new CCTV, access control, and security systems accurately and on time following Kastle's procedures and quality control standards.
• Pulling cable, rough in/patch in, bending conduit, terminate.
• Identify any issues regarding timeline or progress and communicate to supervisor.
• Stays up to date and knowledgeable in Kastle services, technology and internal processes/procedures.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years’ experience installing:
  • commercial access control, video systems, low voltage, and commercial wiring/cabling
  • Door hardware, electric and mechanical locking devices
• Knowledge of building codes pertaining to construction and electrical systems
• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Technical/Trade/Vocational school certificate in electronics/electrical is desirable
• Strong electronics knowledge/background (AC/DC theory, series and parallel circuits, open/close loops) and ability and knowledge to use digital voltmeters
• Knowledge of IP, Ethernet, and networking protocols and Cat5 technologies preferred

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education. Base Range: $20-32/hr
