Qualifications

• Strong understanding of IP, Ethernet, and networking protocols.

Responsibilities

• Install and test CCTV and security systems following procedures.
• Pull and terminate cables, and troubleshoot installation issues.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors promptly.

Installation Technician Role

The Installation Technician is responsible for installing, testing, and servicing/troubleshooting security, access control and video systems at customer sites. The technician may interact directly with the client, client representatives, other contractors, and Kastle personnel to ensure a successful installation project or service call. The technician ensures Kastle system installation/service orders are implemented accurately and on time, and that these services meet or exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests, and troubleshoots new CCTV, access control, and security systems accurately and on time following Kastle's procedures and quality control standards.
• Pulls cable, rough in/patch in, bends conduit, and terminates.
• Identifies any issues regarding timeline or progress and communicates to supervisor.
• Stays up to date and knowledgeable in Kastle services, technology and internal processes/procedures.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years’ experience installing commercial access control, video systems, low voltage, and commercial wiring/cabling.
• Experience with door hardware, electric and mechanical locking devices.
• Knowledge of building codes pertaining to construction and electrical systems.
• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Technical/Trade/Vocational school certificate in electronics/electrical desirable.
• Strong electronics knowledge/background (AC/DC theory, series and parallel circuits, open/close loops) and ability to use digital voltmeters.
• Knowledge of IP, Ethernet, and networking protocols and Cat5 technologies preferred.
