Job description

Camping World is seeking a Service Technician (Flat–Rate) for our growing team.


We are ideally looking for someone with advanced diagnostic and repair skills for Recreational Vehicle (RV) coach systems, generators, and coach body repairs. The ideal candidate is passionate about fixing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and maintenance problems. A successful RV Technician will have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated, and well-versed in all maintenance and repairs. Camping World will pay to certify individuals not already certified. If you have experience in any or all of these fields: plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, RV service, we want to talk to you.


What You’ll Do:

  1. Provide and document complete diagnostic tests and repair or replacement services to customers.
  2. Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
  3. Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
  4. Keep your supervisor informed of work progress.
  5. Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by a supervisor or designee.
  6. Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.


What You'll Need to Have for the Role:

  • Certification from college or technical school in a trade field (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, maintenance, etc.) is helpful, but applicable work experience is also considered.
  • Minimum of 1-year service technician experience or related fields preferred.
  • RVIA certification is helpful but not required.
  • Potential exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment.
  • Possible exposure to environmental conditions including heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending.
  • Must furnish your own hand and shop tools.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices.
  • Valid driver's license.

General Compensation Disclosure:

The pay range for this role considers several factors including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. It is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range. The current estimated range is $22.00-$40.00 per hour.
