Job description

Join to apply for the Service Technician role at Camping World.

Camping World is seeking a Service Technician (Flat–Rate) for our growing team. All skill levels are encouraged to apply.

We are ideally looking for someone with advanced diagnostic and repair skills for Recreational Vehicle (RV) coach systems, generators, and coach body repairs. Someone passionate about fixing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and maintenance problems would be ideal. A successful RV Technician will have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated, and well-versed in all maintenance and repairs. Camping World will pay to certify individuals not already certified. If you have experience in any of these fields — Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, RV Service — we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide and document complete diagnostic tests and repair or replacement services to customers.
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
  • Keep supervisor informed of work progress.
  • Ensure final work meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
What You'll Need To Have For The Role
  • Certification from college or technical school in trade fields (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.) is helpful, but applicable work experience is also considered.
  • Minimum of 1-year service technician or related experience preferred.
  • RVIA certification is helpful but not required.
  • Potential exposure to heights, electrical, and welding hazards.
  • Possible exposure to environmental conditions like heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness.
  • Prolonged standing, stooping, crawling, and bending.
  • Must furnish own hand/shop tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices.
  • Valid driver's license.
General Compensation Disclosure

The pay range considers skills, experience, certifications, and organizational needs. The current estimated range is $22.00-$40.00.
