Job summary

Hiab USA is seeking a skilled service technician to perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, and refurbishment on our equipment at assigned Hiab locations in Middleton, MA. You will inspect forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, and more per manager instructions, while following safety and environmental guidelines.

Applicants should have 3+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience, with diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and their own tools.

Qualifications

• DOT Medical Card is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two in the past two years.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations are required.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are required; own tools are required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and service equipment (forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, hooklifts, hoists) per manager instructions.
• Follow safety rules, working practices and environmental requirements.
• Stay up to date with technical bulletins and complete courses when instructed by District Service Manager.
• Respond to customer queries and concerns to maximize customer satisfaction and follow Hiab guidelines.
• Keep adequate records, maintain documentation and submit daily reports as required.
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to the District Service Manager.
• Coach/tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary.
• Conduct self in a way that promotes a positive Hiab brand and follow the Quality System.

Your mission

To perform service, (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment) on equipment, at assigned Hiab locations in line with Managers instructions.

Key responsibilities

Inspect, perform service, troubleshoot (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment) on the following equipment: Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders & Hoists in line with Managers instructions.

• Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
• Staying up to date with technical developments as shown in internal service bulletins and completing technical courses when instructed by District Service Manager
• Respond to customers queries and concerns to maximize customer satisfaction & follow Hiab Customer Satisfaction Guidelines
• Keep adequate records, maintain documentation & submit daily reports in the format specified by the District Service Manager
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager
• Coach/tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary
• Conduct self at all times in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow rules of the Quality System

What we are looking for

• Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card is required for this position
• Valid Drivers License is required
• No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two year time frame. All violations will be reviewed
• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• 3+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations
• Appropriate Diagnostic And Troubleshooting Skills Own Tools Required
