Job summary

A leading equipment company in Cornelius, NC is seeking a Service Technician to perform maintenance and troubleshooting on various machinery. Key responsibilities include conducting inspections, responding to customer inquiries, and maintaining documentation. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical operations, as well as a valid Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card. Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two year timeframe.
• 3+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations experience.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $29.30-$34.15 per hour based on skills and experience.

Mission

To perform service, preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment on equipment at assigned Hiab locations in line with Manager’s instructions. Responsible for contributing to productive customer relationships as well as following Best Practice in all administrative and technical activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, perform service, troubleshoot (preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment) on Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders & Hoists in line with Manager’s instructions
• Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
• Stay up to date with technical developments as shown in internal service bulletins and complete technical courses when instructed by District Service Manager
• Respond to customer’s queries and concerns to maximize customer satisfaction & follow Hiab Customer Satisfaction Guidelines
• Keep adequate records, maintain documentation & submit daily reports in the format specified by the District Service Manager
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager
• Coach/tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary
• Conduct self at all times in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow rules of the Quality System
