Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic Service Technician to join our team in a full-time role, with a Monday–Friday schedule. This position involves installing new equipment at client locations, educating clients on operation, and performing maintenance and repairs to vending and merchandising systems.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical/technical aptitude, can diagnose and troubleshoot, and communicates effectively with customers.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Experience in repair of vending/merchandising equipment or small appliances preferred.
• Ability to pass DOT Physical.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Technical ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with team members and customers.

Responsibilities

• Install new equipment at client locations within a designated area.
• Educate the client on how to use new equipment.
• Execute minor vending equipment repairs.
• Remove outdated equipment.
• Test vending equipment to ensure proper function.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on vending and merchandising equipment.
• Build and maintain client and customer relationships.
• Order parts needed to complete repairs.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Previous experience in the repair of automated vending and merchandising equipment or small appliances preferred
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Technical ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and make appropriate repairs
• Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with team members and customers
• Valid Driver's License (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment when needed
