Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and support industrial machinery at customer facilities throughout North America. This full-time role rewards hands‑on technical work, problem solving, and the ability to work independently while traveling as needed.

Responsibilities include traveling to sites for installation, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair; training customer personnel; providing tech support by phone and email; and completing

• 3+ years of technical service or industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLCs, motors, drives, pneumatics, and industrial controls.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively (80–100%).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls professionally.
