Job summary

Cochran Automotive is seeking skilled service technicians to join our team in Johnstown, PA. You will diagnose, repair, and service vehicles according to dealer and manufacturer standards, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy. Training is available for growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• Automotive service experience required or training offered.
• PA state inspection and emissions licenses a plus.
• Strong teamwork skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about any additional service and time estimates.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.

Requirements

• We hire professionals with previous automotive service experience, but we LOVE to train and develop new technicians
• ASE certifications are ideal
• PA state inspection and emissions licenses a huge plus
• Strong automotive background with experience working flat-rate
• Strong teamwork skills
• Candidate should have tools necessary for the duties of the position
