Job summary

Kodiak Labor Solutions in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Fleet Service Advisor / Sales Associate to be the main contact between MEP Fleet Care customers and the shop, handling estimates, repair orders, and customer updates.

You will advise on services, coordinate 27-point inspections, schedule vehicles, and help grow the shop’s fleet book by maintaining relationships with light- and medium-duty customers. This on-site role also handles parts coordination to keep vehicles moving.

Responsibilities

• Write complete and accurate estimates and repair orders, including labor, parts, shop supplies, customer approvals, and purchase-order information.
• Review every estimate and repair order carefully before finalizing to avoid missed charges or billing discrepancies.
• Communicate with customers on vehicle status, needed repairs, pricing, and expected completion times.
• Coordinate the 27-point inspection and preventive maintenance process on each fleet vehicle serviced.
• Schedule and prioritize incoming vehicles with the shop team to meet customer turnaround expectations.
• Explain mechanical, protective, and aftermarket service options (e.g., PM services, DOT inspections, graphics/wraps, undercoating, GPS) accurately to customers.
• Assist in receiving, identifying, and distributing incoming parts to technicians, and process returns for incorrect, unused, damaged, or warranty parts in a timely manner.

Position Summary The Fleet Service Advisor / Sales Associate is the primary point of contact between MEP Fleet Care customers and the shop, combining front-counter service advising with outside sales and account development. This role writes accurate estimates and repair orders, keeps customers informed throughout the repair process, and actively grows the shop’s book of business by prospecting and maintaining relationships with light- and medium-duty fleet customers within the local trade area. The position also shares responsibility for day-to-day parts coordination to keep vehicles moving through the shop on schedule.
