Job summary

WASH Multifamily Laundry Systems in Hicksville, NY is seeking a Service Technician to perform mechanical repairs on washers and dryers at customer sites within the assigned region. You will inspect, disassemble, reassemble, and replace components to keep machines running reliably, and you will drive a company vehicle to service locations.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of mechanical experience, electrical knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Good driving record.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Must possess effective English communication skills (oral and written); bilingual English/Spanish desirable.
• At least 2 years of mechanical experience and electrical knowledge or training.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and move 200 pounds occasionally with dolly/hand truck.

Responsibilities

• Service washers and dryers at apartments, laundromats, hotels, and athletic facilities.
• Disassemble machines and examine mechanical and electrical parts.
• Reassemble appliances, adjust pulleys, and lubricate moving parts.
• Replace worn or defective parts and adjust motors.
• Clean and wash parts.
• Advise dispatch department on equipment needing replacement.
• Drive a company vehicle to and from work locations.
