Job summary

WASH Multifamily Laundry Systems is seeking a Service Technician in Sacramento, California. The ideal candidate will provide mechanical repairs to washers and dryers at customer locations and will enjoy working independently.

Responsibilities include servicing machines at various locations, disassembling and assembling appliances, and advising on equipment replacements. A high school diploma, strong mechanical aptitude, and at least two years of mechanical experience are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of mechanical experience and electrical knowledge and/or training.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Occasionally move 200 pounds or more with a dolly/hand truck.

Service Technician

Our Service Technicians provide mechanical repairs to washers and dryers at customer locations within their assigned region. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working independently and has strong mechanical aptitude.

Estimated Salary

Salary range: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

What you’ll do

• Service washers and dryers at apartments, laundromats, hotels, athletic facilities, etc.
• Disassemble machines and examine mechanical and electrical parts.
• Reassemble appliances, adjust pulleys, and lubricate moving parts.
• Replace worn or defective parts and adjust motors.
• Clean and wash parts.
• Advise dispatch department of equipment that should be replaced with new equipment.
• Drive a company vehicle to and from work locations.

What we’re looking for

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Good driving record.
• Strong customer service and problem solving skills.
• Effective English communication skills (oral and written); bilingual communication skills (English and Spanish) are desirable.
• At least 2 years of mechanical experience and electrical knowledge and/or training.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally move 200 pounds or more with a dolly/hand truck.
• Prior washer/dryer repair experience is desirable.
