Job summary

Findlay Automotive Group is seeking experienced journeyman technicians to support a booming service operation in Alabama. This full-time position offers a competitive signing bonus for the right candidate and a fast-paced, high-volume shop environment with strong teamwork and customer-focused service.

The role involves diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems, test-driving vehicles, and coordinating with Service Advisors to communicate needed services and timelines.

Qualifications

• Certifications & experience at an automotive dealership are preferred.
• Strong teamwork skills are required.
• Valid in-state driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional repairs and provide estimated time frames.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications:

• CERTIFICATIONS & previous experience at an automotive dealership
• Strong teamwork skills
• Valid in-state driver's license and automobile insurance.
