Job summary

TEKsystems in Canonsburg, PA is seeking an intermediate-level technician for contract work on electronic security and fire alarm systems. You will perform service calls, troubleshooting, and installations with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and safety.

The role requires solid hands-on skills, ability to travel locally, and a valid driver’s license. Onsite work with a comprehensive benefits package is provided. Anticipated close date Aug 12, 2026.

• Acts as a trusted service provider by delivering exceptional customer support and ensuring client satisfaction on every service call.
• Responds to scheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency service requests.
• Diagnoses, repairs, replaces defective components, and debugs electronic security systems to restore functionality and minimize downtime.

• Completes detailed service documentation and reports to support accurate project tracking, invoicing, and customer records.
• Assists with system upgrades, programming, integrations, database management, audits, and network-connected security systems as needed.
• Installs, configures, and supports a variety of electronic security and low-voltage systems in commercial and industrial environments.

Solid technical skills and/or experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.

Solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.

Must be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision.

Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).

A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis. Minimal overnight travel may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
