Job summary

Access Ford of Corpus Christi is seeking a Ford Technician to join our service team. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs per Lithia & Driveway standards, and road-test vehicles to verify quality. The role demands a minimum of five years’ service experience and strong automotive knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years service technician experience.
• Automotive knowledge with 5+ years in the field.
• Experience with lubrication and maintenance services.
• Engine repair expertise.
• Automatic transmission knowledge.
• Manual drive train repair experience.
• Suspension/steering repair expertise.
• Brake repair experience.
• Electrical/electrical systems repair knowledge.
• Hybrid/Alternative fuels experience preferred.
• Heating and A/C repair experience.
• Engine drivability diagnosis and repair (optional).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record in your state.

Responsibilities

• Perform work per repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Complete all work per safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure repair quality.
• Accurately record time spent on repairs using time clocking procedures.
• Document work performed on repair orders and test results.
• Maintain an inventory of standard tools and equipment.
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications.
• Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time clocking procedures.
• Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results.
• Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools to include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained and not normally inventoried by the service department as "special tools".
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training.
• Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management.
