Job summary

Restaurant Technologies is seeking a Service Technician to install and service our advanced equipment for customers across the food service industry. You will install core products for new customers and assist with training through troubleshooting and hands-on servicing.

In this role, you will work at a depot in Cleveland, OH, with a 4-day week (four 10-hour shifts) starting at 6:00 A.M., and you may perform night installations based on customer demand.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• DOT-regulated vehicle operations; DOT pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Ability to solve customer installation/service issues.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical and/or electrical duties.
• Strong customer focus and positive handling of customer situations.
• Must meet Fleet Safety requirements and maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to climb and work on ladders up to 20 feet.
• Night installation work may be required with schedule variability.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain our products in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
• Meet and control service labor per hour, first-time-right, 5S standards.
• Comply with internal processes and procedures and with DOT/OSHA/HACCP requirements.
• Maintain proper parts and supply levels in service vehicles and paperwork.
• Communicate with customers to ensure product performance meets expectations.
• Provide training and coaching to customers on the system as needed.
• Utilize iPhone apps for parts, notes, and clocking in/out.
• Night installation work may be required; schedule varies with demand.

The Service Technician plays a critical role in the success of Restaurant Technologies. Our Service Technicians are responsible for the installation and servicing of our advanced equipment in locations throughout the food service industry. As a Service Technician with Restaurant Technologies, you’ll install our core products for new customers and assist with customer training through troubleshooting and servicing. For existing customers, you will be responsible for service, repair, and routine maintenance.

  • The pay for this position is $26.00 per hour. Shift differential and overtime pay may also apply, and the position is also eligible for a quarterly bonus of up to $5,200 per year.

Primary Job Accountabilities

• Responsible for installing and maintaining our products in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
• Meet and control operational goals and timelines- service labor per hour, first time right, 5S standards, etc.
• Comply with internal processes and procedures as well as all local and federally regulated requirements including DOT, OSHA, and HACCP.
• Maintain proper parts and supply levels in company service vehicles and proper paperwork standards.
• Communicate with customers to ensure product performance meets customers’ expectations.
• Efficiently and professionally service customers’ needs, training and coaching them on the system as needed.
• Utilize iPhone apps to perform multiple functions in role (parts, customer notes, clocking in/out)
• The position may include night installation work; the schedule will vary based on customer demand & install schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Requirements & Competencies:

• Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• This position requires the operation of a DOT-regulated vehicle, and candidates will be subject to passing a DOT-mandated pre-employment drug test. Please be advised, a positive result for any controlled substance will disqualify applicants; including marijuana (THC), even if it is legal under state or local law.
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Ability to problem solve customer issues for installation and service
• Ability to perform basic mechanical and/or electrical duties
• Strong customer focus and ability to respond to challenging customer situations in a positive manner
• Must meet Restaurant Technologies’ Fleet Safety requirements and maintain a clean driving record
• Ability to carry 50 pounds by hand
• Unrestricted ability to bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn and reach out
• Ability to climb up and down a ladder as high as 20 feet in the air
