Essential duties include managing the service schedule, picking up and verifying parts, completing repairs per work orders, and demonstrating carpentry skills across multiple systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot, reason, and solve problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of and compliance with work safety policies and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Background and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Manage work schedule by making appointments with customers.
• Pick up parts from the factory as needed.
• Verify parts with orders.
• Install new parts or repair issues per work order.
• Maintain logbook as required by the Department of Transportation.
• Maintain company vehicle, including keeping it clean, stocked, and serviced.
• Return completed work orders to the factory by mail or personal delivery.
• Possess carpentry skills, including trim work, roofing, window replacement, drywall repairs, siding, flooring, plumbing, electrical, and repair/replace toilets, water heaters, light fixtures, and door/cabinet hardware.
• Maintain company tools and materials; inform management of any issues.
• Represent Champion Home Builders with a friendly attitude and professional appearance.

Summary

FLSA Status: Non-exempt. The Service Technician will work from a field service schedule and will be essential in ensuring customer satisfaction with new manufactured homes.
