Salary Range: $18.00 To $25.00 Hourly
The Service Technician is a senior-level field technician responsible for the expert-level inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of complex low-voltage systems, including burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and access control systems. This role requires deep technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision. The technician is expected to lead by example in both service execution and customer interaction, ensuring high-quality results and professionalism at every job site. In addition to direct service responsibilities, the Service Technician may also mentor and support junior technicians, contribute to technical training, and uphold safety and compliance standards across all service activities.
The ideal candidate possesses advanced troubleshooting skills in low-voltage electrical, networked, and mechanical systems, along with excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities. They can effectively read and interpret technical documents and blueprints and are proficient with power tools, ladders, and standard field equipment. Strong time management and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to write clear, concise service reports and communicate findings accurately. The candidate must be flexible, dependable, and capable of maintaining confidentiality. Proficiency in using GPS, smartphones, and computer systems to complete job-related tasks is also required.
