Job summary

Clarion Security in Memphis, TN is seeking a field technician to install, service, and inspect low voltage systems at customer sites. You will work both independently and with a team, supporting senior technicians and the Technician Manager as needed.

The role requires knowledge of Access, Fire, Intrusion, and CCTV systems, plus IT/networking basics. Travel to client sites is expected, and NICET I Certification is preferred. Weekend/evening availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and inspect low voltage systems at customer sites.
• Work independently and with team members; follow guidance from senior staff.
• Assist Technician Manager and other personnel as needed.
• Ensure installations comply with NEC, manufacturer instructions, and safety policies.
• Communicate work progress clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Complete required paperwork (UL, FM, etc.) as required.
• Operate job-related equipment (bucket truck, scissor lift, trencher).
• Provide training and support to less senior technicians.
• Assist in customer onboarding and site preparation.

• This position involves performing service, installation, and/or inspection of systems, working independently and with team members
• The technician will seek and accept guidance from senior personnel while also providing guidance and support to those less senior
• The role includes assisting the Technician Manager (TM) as necessary
• Perform installation and service of low voltage systems in accordance with Federal Alarm minimum installation standards, the National Electric Code, manufacturer's instructions, and Federal Alarm Safety Policy
• Facilitate the service of common systems in your area through effective communication, leadership, and organization
• Service and repair common systems in your area
• Assist more senior personnel in the service of complex systems
• Provide training and support to less senior technicians
• Responsible for customer on-boarding
• Operate job-related mechanical equipment (bucket truck, scissor lift, trencher, etc.)
• Communicate work in progress according to currently accepted procedure
• Understand and complete all UL, FM, and other required paperwork, as require
