Job summary

Hireology is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair customer vehicles. A valid ASE certificate and strong communication skills are essential to liaise with customers and service advisors.

You will perform repairs per repair orders, test drive vehicles with diagnostic tools, and provide accurate estimates. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and delivering quality service in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair customer vehicles according to repair orders.
• Test drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional services.
• Provide time estimates for needed repairs.
• Perform repairs under manufacturer specifications and warranty where applicable.
• Maintain knowledge of automotive repair and safety procedures.

Job description

The responsibilities of a Service Technician include diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles. They will have an ASE certificate and great communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician, Toyota/Lexus experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Fast, eager learner and team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
