Job summary

Hireology is seeking a Service Technician in Bourbonnais, IL to diagnose, maintain, and repair customer vehicles using diagnostic tools. You will communicate clearly with Service Advisors and customers and perform warranty repairs when required.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2+ years as an auto technician (Toyota/Lexus experience a plus), and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. An eager, team-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems as per repair order.
• Test drive vehicles and diagnose via diagnostic tools.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional services.
• Provide time estimates for additional repairs.
• Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.

Job description

The responsibilities of a Service Technician include diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles. They will have an ASE certificate and great communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician, Toyota/Lexus experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Fast, eager learner and team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Clean driving record & valid driver's license
