Audi Volkswagen of Bellingham is a dual-brand luxury and import dealership serving the close-knit Whatcom County community. The hourly technician role is a foundational position in the shop -- performing maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on both Audi and Volkswagen vehicles while building the technical skills and platform familiarity that support advancement into flat-rate service work. We hire for work ethic and technical aptitude and invest in certification development from there.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform multi-point vehicle inspections, oil and filter changes, tire rotations, fluid services, wiper replacements, and other scheduled maintenance on Audi and Volkswagen vehicles
• Document inspection findings accurately and communicate concerns clearly to service advisors for guest communication
• Assist with basic repairs and mechanical work under the direction of senior technicians as skill and certification level develops
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout every shift
• Participate in Audi and Volkswagen manufacturer training to develop platform knowledge and advance your certification level

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Prior automotive technician experience, completion of an automotive technology program, or equivalent hands-on mechanical background preferred
• Audi, Volkswagen, or European brand familiarity a plus -- not required, both brands' training programs are supported here
• Reliable, punctual, and takes genuine pride in accurate, thorough maintenance work
• Self-directed with a genuine desire to grow toward flat-rate service work
• Technicians are expected to supply their own personal hand tools and tool storage -- the store provides all special tools, scan tools, battery maintainers, and brand-certified training equipment
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
