Job summary

Associates Systems LLC is seeking a Service Technician to perform field service, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment with up to 50% travel (regional/national).

The candidate will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues, coordinate customer service requests, and collaborate with engineering to address design or operational problems. A BS/AS degree is a plus but not required; Allen-Bradley PLC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLCs, especially Allen-Bradley preferred.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic system experience is important.
• Service, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate and respond to customer service requests.
• Prepare technical reports for engineering/management.
• BS or AS degree is a plus but not required.

• Analyze equipment problems and prepare technical reports for engineering/management.
• Respond to technical support requests from customers and other departments.
• Direct equipment layout, electrical wiring, and sequencing of installation.

• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
• Service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance
• Direct and coordinate customer requests for service of equipment.
• Confer with supervisors and engineering personnel to resolve design and/or operational problems with equipment.
• Assess and resolve customer complaints relating to service.
• Assist with the commissioning activities as needed .
• Assist with on-floor testing of equipment where needed.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of service-related documents. Create new documents as needed or requested.
• Analyze equipment problems and prepare technical reports for use by engineering and management.
• Respond to and resolve requests for technical support from customers and other departments.
• Directs the layout of equipment being installed.
• Directs the connecting of electrical wiring and cables as required.
• Directs the sequence and installation of mechanical equipment.
• Completes any Quality System records/activities requirements.
