Job Description: Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Service Technician in Bangor, ME. This role specializes in the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire sprinkler systems, ensuring these life-saving systems function correctly to protect properties and occupants during a fire. The technician will work on both new installations and existing systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Install and service valves, devices, and trim.
• Fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping, fixtures, and equipment.
• Manipulate pipe to specifications.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.
• Inspect and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, and observation.
• Plan installations or repairs based on site conditions.

Requirements:

• Ability to work an unpredictable and changing schedule.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical background preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Licensed Backflow Tester or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months.
• Licensed Maine Fire Sprinkler or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment.
• Strong coordination and teamwork skills.
• Proven track record of timely work performance and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders.
