Job summary

Commonwealth Equipment Corp is seeking a Service Technician for the Raleigh, North Carolina area. The role focuses on diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, and performing maintenance on heavy machinery. You’ll work Monday to Friday with 40 hours per week and be part of a team that backs customers with reliable field service.

Starting pay is $29/hour with experience-dependent advancement. The position requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 75 lbs, and strong customer service

Salary

Starting from $29/hour (depending on experience)

Summary Of Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose faults or malfunctions
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand or power tools
• Test repaired equipment for the proper performance
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
• Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, inventory, tools, and equipment
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
• Additional duties as required

Skills

• Valid driver’s license, with clean Driver’s Abstract
• Minimum 2 years of experience performing service repairs
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to use basic computer functions and the MS-Office Suite of products
• Ability to work alone or as a member of a team with other tradespersons
• The capability of working outside in all types of weather for on-site customer service and inside a shop
• A strong work ethic, reliability and dependability are key requirements for this position
