Position Summary
Performs diagnostic and service work on residential/light commercial HVAC equipment, communicates with customers, promotes products/services, and ensures customer satisfaction. Reports to Field Supervisor or General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform service and maintenance calls independently
- Diagnose and resolve customer issues professionally
- Service heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration equipment
- Inspect and diagnose equipment to prevent breakdowns
- Complete maintenance and cleaning
- Manage parts and equipment logistics
- Record service details accurately and collect payments
- Maintain communication with dispatch
- Provide excellent customer service and promote company offerings
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of company property and tools
- Represent the company professionally and ethically
- Follow procedures for vehicle and warranty parts management
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain reliable attendance
Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Report hazards and unsafe acts
- Use PPE as prescribed
- Follow safety procedures and participate in safety initiatives
- Report injuries or incidents immediately
- Contribute to safety improvements
- Work safely and responsibly
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, with HVAC training and 2-5 years experience
- Valid licensing/certifications, including EPA
- Skilled in servicing HVAC systems and troubleshooting electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems
- Proficient in reading wiring diagrams and operating tools
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable record
- Flexible hours and on-call availability
- Physical ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 75 lbs
- Vision and mobility to access HVAC units in various environments
