Job Title: Mechanic - Pump (Service Tech II)

Within the Fluid Solutions Division at United Rentals, you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on equipment safely and professionally. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of dryers and pumps. Daily, you can improve and challenge yourself, with opportunities to advance to higher-level Tech roles in our Service Department. Like every team member, you will provide exceptional customer service.

What you'll do:

1. Demonstrate equipment for customers
2. Travel to customer sites
3. Perform service documentation
4. Train lower-level Technicians
5. Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining dryers and pumps of various sizes, capacities, and manufacturers
• Knowledge of construction equipment
• Strong mechanical background, especially with engines
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Own the necessary tools for the position
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. frequently

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies.

The actual pay rate varies based on several factors. The compensation range is $22.75 - $44.70 per hour.
