C & B Operations in Sibley, Iowa, is hiring a Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair agricultural equipment for customers and dealers. The position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, work in a team, and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Diesel Technology or related field preferred.
• Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, standing, and climbing.

• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in repair of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on agricultural farm equipment.
• Participate in training programs for skill development.
• Complete all job notes with work assignments.
• Accurately account for time and materials used on a digital timecard.
• Maintain current product knowledge of John Deere and competitors.
• Keep work area clean and organized and maintain tools and equipment.
• Promote and sell service department services and parts.
• Follow safety procedures and work safely.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Job description

C & B Operations has grown over 35 years to include 38 John Deere dealerships in six states. We currently have an opening for a Service Technician for our location in Sibley, Iowa. This individual will perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment.

Qualifications:

• Associates or better in Diesel Technology or related field, preferred
• Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of machinery, engines and other related equipment
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability for critical thinking and resourcefulness to complete tasks
• Willingness to learn and train in new technologies
• Ability to work overtime to meet customer demands
• Valid Drivers License and a safe driving record
