Job summary

Trek Store Allentown is seeking a Service Technician/Advisor who cares for bikes and keeps customers riding with confidence. You'll troubleshoot repairs, service a range of bikes on the spot, and install accessories chosen by customers.

You'll also get hands on brand new models before they hit the floor and be the face of the department when the manager isn't available. We're looking for someone with stellar hospitality and strong communication, with a willingness to learn and lead when needed.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is helpful but not required.
• Clear communication with customers is essential.
• Interest in bikes with a basic mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn shop processes and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair bikes on site.
• Service and maintain bicycles to keep customers riding smoothly.
• Install accessories per customer selection.
• Be the face of the department when the Service Manager is unavailable.

Job Description

As a Trek Service Technician/Advisor, no one day is the same as the last. This job is all about caring for bikes so their owners love riding them. You'll troubleshoot repairs and service all kinds of bikes on the spot and install the awesome accessories customers select for their new bike! You'll also be the first to have your hands on brand new models before they hit the sales floor. Most importantly, you'll build relationships with people who trust you to keep their gear running flawlessly. This role closely supports the Service Manager. When the Service Manager is not available, you are the face of the department to customers.

We're looking for a teammate with stellar customer service chops and a willingness to learn. Because you'll constantly be speaking with customers to evaluate issues and recommend repairs, we value fantastic hospitality skills above prior shop experience. This role requires elevated skills in communication, leadership and problem solving.
