Job summary

RichSmith Management is hiring a Full-time Service Technician for an apartment community in Lake Charles, LA. You will handle maintenance tasks, address requests, and perform pool and grounds care to keep the community safe and inviting.

This role requires hands-on skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC basics, and carpentry, with on-call duties supporting a 24-hour maintenance guarantee. Competitive benefits accompany the hourly wage of $14.00–$16.00.

Qualifications

• HVAC or EPA certification is preferred.
• Pool operation and maintenance experience is advantageous.
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical appliance repair, HVAC troubleshooting and repairs, plus electricity, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, and irrigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all maintenance tasks for the property on a daily basis.
• Address service requests promptly and efficiently.
• Perform pool care, landscaping, grounds maintenance and preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with the Community Manager to ensure a safe, well‑maintained environment for residents.

Responsibilities:

As a Service Technician, you will report to the Community Manager and be responsible for carrying out all maintenance tasks for the property. This includes addressing service requests promptly and efficiently, performing pool care, landscaping, grounds maintenance, and preventive maintenance on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• HVAC or EPA certification is preferred.
• Previous experience in pool operation and maintenance is advantageous.
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical aspects of appliance repair, HVAC troubleshooting and repairs, as well as competency in electricity, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, and irrigation systems.
• Availability for on-call duty related to our 24-hour routine maintenance guarantee.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and twist into small areas.
• Capable of reaching overhead for extended periods, particularly during overhead repair work.
