Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking a Service Support Technician 2 in Wilmington, MA area. You will perform repairs to meet customer demands on time and work closely with the service team and cross-functional partners to support growth and career development.

You will diagnose, repair, and test electronic assemblies, build or repair products per process details or service bulletins, and address hardware and systems issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3–5 years of maintenance repair in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with MS Excel for data analysis and presentation.
• Prior experience with Oracle, SAP, or other system software.
• Willingness to work with diverse teams and demonstrate a cooperative, team-first attitude.
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and upgrades on assigned product line(s).
• Build/repair products per Process Details and Service Bulletins or from approved samples.
• Remove and replace defective or damaged electronic assemblies.
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, and systems failures using established procedures.
• Test and evaluate to sub-assembly level.

• Performing variety of repairs and upgrades as required on assigned product line(s)
• Building/repairing products to instructions provided in Process Details and Service Bulletins or from approved samples
• Removing and replacing defective or damaged electronic assemblies
• Diagnosing mechanical, hardware, and systems failures, using established procedures
• Testing and evaluating to sub-assembly level

Skills You Bring:

• A high school diploma

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $18.89 - 31.49 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
